I watched Game of Thrones in April and May last year, over three weeks. I completed the entire series and loved how it turned out, but I hated the ending, especially the previous season. When I looked online, I found out I'm not the only one who hated the ending.
In November, I saw the trailer for this series and thought it would be on par with Game of Thrones. However, to my surprise, the series is even better. But before watching the series, I had expected the episodes would be the same length as Game of Thrones, like 45 to 60 minutes each. But it turned out the episode is just 35-40 minutes long each.
Coming to the storyline, the entire first series takes place over just a week or two. I didn't anticipate this in this series. The first two episodes of the series are like a survival story for Ser Duncan, a self-Knighted Knight after the death of his master. Then the surprise of the egg, which led to his fight for actual survival and Prince Bealor's death, shook me and the whole Game of Thrones fandom.
This series is one of the best I have watched recently, and this has already been proven by the ratings on IMDb. According to a few media outlets, the storytelling in this series has been dumbed down too much to hold the audience's attention during the show.
As for me, I enjoyed watching the entire series from start to finish every Monday night during dinner. A few scenes made me uncomfortable, but they were worth it, and I suggest you watch it while not eating anything during the show's runtime. Overall, I suggest you watch this series if you are a fan of Game of Thrones.
PS: And everyone knows the House of the Dragon series is a lost cause, right, compared to this series and I have huge hopes for the second season coming next year.
