The drama and scientific depth are excellent, much like Grey's Anatomy and other medical dramas set in hospitals. However, the screenplay jumps directly from one doctor to another, which can be confusing to follow the plot. Instead of focusing on a single patient or a few patients per episode, this series focuses on multiple patients simultaneously.
In one episode, numerous things are happening, and the dialogues are filled with general conversation, much like people typically engage in. If you miss a minute of the plot, I am sure you'll miss a lot of drama, and you'll have to go back to understand what's happening.
In this series, Dr. Michael Robinavitch, played by Noah Wyle, will be the protagonist who patiently manages the senior residents and medical students, and tries to improve his emergency room ratings compared to other departments in the hospital.
The actors have done an excellent job in making you believe you are in an actual hospital. The scenes between the senior residents, attendings, and the students are amazing to watch, as you will compare them with other hospital dramas. Still, the plot will not allow you to peek into their personal lives like other dramas, but you will get a glimpse of professional life among the different characters.
Overall, the season is addictive, and if you are catching this series after full release, you can binge-watch it in a whole weekend, as you can't ignore it. The new season of the series will be released on January 8, 2026.
